The Line-Frequency Induction Copper Melting Furnace This state-of-the-art furnace is expertly designed for the melting of bronze, brass, and a spectrum of copper alloys. When seamlessly integrated with complementary machinery, it crafts a comprehensive production line for the creation of copper rods, tubes, strips, and beyond. These expertly produced items serve as indispensable components in a multitude of industries, including electric wires, cables, electronics, lock manufacturing, water heating systems, and refrigeration technology.

Structure and Components

The induction furnace is an engineering marvel, comprising vital elements such as the furnace shell, refractory lining, insulation bricks, refractory bricks, iron core, induction coil, water jacket, and power cabinet. Each component is meticulously crafted to enhance performance and durability.

Working Principle

At the heart of the power frequency melting and holding furnace lies the principle of electromagnetic induction. When AC voltage is applied, the induction coil conjures an alternating magnetic field, which penetrates the core material, completing a magnetic circuit, typically using high-quality silicon steel sheets like Z10. This magnetic dance induces an electromotive force within the melting channel, igniting secondary currents that traverse the metal's resistance, transforming electrical energy into a cascade of heat energy that melts the metal with precision.

Furnace Design and Features

Innovatively engineered, the melting and holding furnace boasts an integrated furnace body, sturdy furnace frame, and an efficient inductor, all supported by a sophisticated hydraulic system. The melting channel within the inductor is strategically designed in a horizontal orientation. On either side, hydraulic tilt mechanisms ensure ease and safety during mold replacement in the crystallizer, safeguarding operations.

The entire furnace stands as a testament to engineering finesse, with its robust construction from a fusion of quartz sand and firebrick masonry. Meticulous assembly ensures precision alignment of the crystallizer with the single-hole furnace mouth, effectively warding off any issues related to furnace rebuilding and misalignment.

Furnace Components and Water Cooling System

The fore of the furnace is adorned with door bricks, mouth bricks, crystallizer components, and sophisticated furnace panel devices. The induction coils within the furnace are kept cool and efficient with a water-cooling system, expertly insulated with a layer of mica tape and dual fiberglass tape, elegantly wrapped around flat copper tubes. The water jacket is crafted from robust 3mm 1Cr18Ni9Ti stainless steel plates, ensuring longevity.

The water cooling system is designed for superior operation, demanding an inlet water pressure to the inductor of no less than 0.4 MPa. During the smelting process, vigilance is key, ensuring the inlet water temperature remains below 25°C, and the outlet temperature does not surpass 55°C. Frequent monitoring of water flow is crucial, and swift action is required to address any scale buildup, ensuring consistent performance.
